My dog Jack was a Jack Russell Silky Terrier cross. Not the sort of dog I chose but I got him anyway, He chose me really. He was my protector and constant companion. A little dog who behaved like a lion. He was King of his domain. He watched me, wherever I went just in case I got into trouble. (I never did but for 17 years he watched me and was always there.)
One day he wasn’t.
