Not often, the Hume Weir is at capacity. I was fortunate to capture all twelve floodgates open, reducing the water levels in the dam and sending a flush of water down the Murray River. The force of the water, the spray and symbolism of surplus in such a vital resource in our dry country is a blessing. I painted using oil and conte on 680 GSM paper
