Continuing on from “POH 2” and working with the concept of Heaven and the afterlife, I realised that images of some of my Ancestors had crept into my work. This was not my intention but it had to come at some stage. Childhood stories of my forebears, their lives, their place in history, and sometimes not so valiant deeds were taking shape. Turbulence, war and survival were part of daily life for generations on both sides of my immediate family.
