I tried working with conte, charcoal and experimented with using other grades of paper for a while. I loved the feeling of Conte on paper, quite different to charcoal. This model was amazing. She was able to hold a pose, to really hold a pose and not move. Drawn totally from life, I called her “Aurora”.
