Heathwood Park, Early Morning

Driving to the very end of the park, parking my car and setting up quickly to paint, my student and I were at work within a few minutes. En plein air. What a way to go. I talked all the way through these three paintings both instructing and working. To me , there is no greater joy. I had been to exactly the place that we would work within the past few days and, even though I had seen the sun rise through the trees several mornings before, it was still wonderful to witness. We worked for two hours but not in silence. 

All paintings in this series are shadow-box mounted and in a show-wood timber frame ready for hanging or will stand unsupported.
