A wonderful pet and enigmatic family member for 17 years, Jackidog was an energetic package with gusto and personality. His job was to protect us all and he did so, always on alert. A small dog with big energy, he was an unexpected delight and I drew and painted him a lot over the years. In the latter part of his life he walked as briskly as he could each morning not wanting to be left behind and then slept a lot of the day. I did this painting in Autumn during his last weeks. His passing left a great hole in our lives.
