I travelled to Sydney to do some preliminary drawings and paintings of the beautiful, elderly woman Josephine Delacour. I met her at an Art opening in Sydney, mentioned that I was a portrait painter and she said’ OH please come and paint me” I loved that.
I still have the preliminary drawings and small paintings. In the large portrait I emphasised her beauty, her charm and charisma along with her understanding that she would be moving on sometime soon.
