Flying into Abu Dhabi after sundown was truly beautiful. Lots of lit up squares with light along fence lines and bigger lights in each corner. I realised later in daylight that they are private compounds, the big grid extending for miles. The inner city area was busy and cosmopolitan, the mosques, immense in their glory, dominated the skyline. I have never been in such a large hotel room. The marble bathroom was bigger than any hotel room I had been in anywhere in the world, suites included. The bath was so big and marble of course.
