Proof of Heaven

Sleepless nights were a part of my life for a while. A family member had passed and during daylight consciousness I was mostly at peace with the fact. Night times were different. After an experience of near death of my own I read a book called “Proof of Heaven” by Eben Alexander an American Neurosurgeon. He wrote beautifully and eloquently about his own experience. Including the reaction of his friends and community. I had read similar accounts before and became very aware that his journey was similar to those, many of which were ancient writings. The concept of “Heaven”, a life after this life became the subject of my imagination for a time and the way that I work with my imaginings is to paint. I did not have a start point. I awoke, quickly got some materials together, a canvas, colours (basic red and yellow and blue and white no black) a few brushes and went to work in the magical silence very early morning. I painted without a plan and this is what happened.
