Self Portrait With A River

I travelled the River Road from Albury to Guy’s Forest where I lived for many years. I worked in Albury, Tallangatta, Corryong , Walwa and Guy’s Forest as a Shiatsu Therapist for more than 30 years travelling many roads and often after dark. I loved it. It was my only real time alone, away from busyness. This portrait is an attempt at portraying how it felt to be so busy, travelling a lot. I wrote notes/ reminders and bits of diary entries on anything I could find at the time. The background of this portrait is compiled of lots of those notes, contributing to the busyness.
