Driving on the Hume highway near Chiltern, there is a moment where the forest on both sides of the road is dense and the majority of the trees have black trunks. Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park. I spent a hot afternoon deep in the forest painting with a small child.We both painted and his work was so much better than mine. It was so very still and quiet. The sky was blue, the earth red and I felt the trees watching me.
All paintings in this series are shadow-box mounted and in a show-wood timber frame ready for hanging or stand unsupported.
