When the days start to shorten just a bit and the birds stop singing in the garden a little earlier, the colours in the garden slowly change from the exuberance of Summer to the more muted colours of Autumn. The flowers have reached their zenith and are slowly shutting down, their colours fading and their greenery losing its vibrancy morphing into the down time of Winter. This flower patch was beautiful in its simplicity. No more flowers, just lots of different greenery with the late afternoon sun shining brightly through the bigger garden trees.
